CASHBACK SITES
One of the savviest ways to shop online is to always go via a cashback site which tracks your clicks and purchases. These sites pay you a cash reward or gift voucher for your acquisitions, depending on what they offer and your preferences. They will also often list voucher codes that can be used in conjunction with cashback - meaning extra savings for you! All you have to do is register with them and then click through them to your favourite online shops.

There are several to choose from, but I tend to use two - Top Cashback and Quidco - as I feel they are the best at what they do.
Top Cashback
My personal preferred cashback site is Top Cashback. There is no admin fee, their customer care is excellent in my experience and the range of shops and services offered is brilliant. In many circumstances, they also seem to have the best UK cashback rate on the internet.

You can be paid in cash into your bank or Paypal account or get an extra bonus if you're paid in vouchers (Amazon, Love2Shop or Tesco). If you are feeling particularly benevolent, you can even donate some of your cashback to charity! You don't need to wait until you have made a minimum amount of cashback before they will pay you either, so you can get your payout as soon as it's ready.
Quidco
The other site I use is Quidco as they do have some shops and services that Top Cashback don't. Again, they offer decent customer service and payments can be made into your bank account. They also have printable vouchers and in-store cashback options, so you don't just have to use them for online purchases.

There's also a mobile app for Quidco on which you can get cashback for just walking into a shop - well worth doing when you're out and about!
However, make sure that you're getting the best deal when going through a cashback site. It may be that a shop that doesn't appear on cashback sites has the best price, including any cashback deals and a savvy shopper should check whether this is the case!
It's worth pointing out that sometimes, the cashback does not track so it cannot always be guaranteed. Tracking problems can occur because of cookies, so it's worth looking at clearing these before clicking through. Tracking can also be restricted by ad blockers so again, switch this off before clicking through. Another problem that can occur is when a retailer disputes the transaction for some reason - whether it be an 'unauthorised' code (i.e. one that isn't compatible with the cashback site) or even that they say there wasn't a transaction at all. This latter one has made me very cross on one or two occasions! However, both Top Cashback and Quidco have online forms to complete if the cashback doesn't track, and they do seem to do their best in getting it for you.
